One person was shot on Savannah’s eastside Wednesday night and taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., a young male was walking across Skidaway Road on Pennsylvania Avenue talking on a cellphone when he heard shots and felt stings, said Savannah-Chatham police spokesman Julian Miller.
The victim ran to a home a few blocks away and called police, Miller said.
The investigation into the shooting was in its early stages Wednesday night, and no further information was available.
