REIDSVILLE — Traynearious Dillard scored on a 15-yard run with 1:35 left as Savannah High knocked off Tattnall County 12-6 on Friday night in Region 1-AAA action.
With the game tied 6-6, the host Warriors (2-2, 0-1 region) were driving for the go-ahead score but fumbled and SHS (1-3, 1-0) recovered at its 8-yard line with about three minutes left. The Blue Jackets drove 92 yards for the winning touchdown.
Jamal Norman scored the Jackets’ other TD on a 14-yard run. He was 8 of 13 passing for 172 yards with one interception. Savannah High’s Jermaine Williams had five receptions for 113 yards.
Tattnall County junior running back Desmond Mitchell had 15 carries for 88 yards.

Joshua Woodley threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Bethesda Academy past St. Andrew’s.
Woodley completed 13 of 16 passes for 122 yards with scoring passes of 11 and 15 yards to Rashad Wright.
Woodley also ran and passed for two two-point conversions.
Joshua Roberson gave the Blazers (2-2) a 6-0 lead on a 15-yard interception return in the first quarter.
Trevan Pray caught seven passes for 91 yards. Defensive lineman Eddie White recordered 10 tackles.

Quarterback Taylor Donovan hit 6 of 7 passes for 98 yards for SEHS.
Eli Pulkinen hit a 37-yard field goal for the Mustangs, and Pat Mack had a 25-yard interception return.

MOUNT VERNON — Savannah Christian came away with a 23-7 road win over the Eagles to improve to 2-0-1 on the season.
But coach Donald Chumley was disappointed in the Raiders’ effort.
“We made a lot of errors and played very poorly,” Chumley said. “We had turnovers and bad snaps. We found a way to win, but we’ve got to get better.”
Junior Wade Benton gave the Raiders a boost with a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown. Quarterback Brandon Thomas ran for an 8-yard touchdown and connected with Patrick Sovacool for a 10-yard scoring pass.
Kicker Logan Tovar continued to impress with his leg, hitting his fourth field goal of the year when he connected from 30 yards. The Raiders host undefeated Johnson County next week.

BELLVILLE — Dalton Johnson ran for 245 yards on 16 carries and scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns on 24-yard runs as Pinewood Christian rallied to defeat Frederica.
The Patriots (2-1-1) trailed 21-14 entering the fourth quarter before Johnson’s touchdowns and a 20-yard scoring run by Preston Campbell.
Campbell finished with 78 rushing yards. PCA had 344 yards on the ground.
Frederica quarterback Max Bourne threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

Senior Malcolm Quarterman had a 21-yard TD run and finished with 13 carries for 180 yards.

SYLVANIA — Jimmie Robinson scored twice and four other Screven County players produced touchdowns en route to a win over visiting Windsor Forest.
Robinson had two touchdown runs of 5 yards. Quarterback Rashad Hughley completed 7 of 13 passes for 127 yards, including a 19-yard TD to Brian Alexander.
Tavarious Johnson led the Gamecocks (2-2) with nine rushes for 94 yards and a 31-yard touchdown run.
Danta Wilburn returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown and Desmond White hauled in a 19-yard scoring toss from Chandler Rigdon.
James Kicklighter scored on a 5-yard run for Windsor.

Derek Kirkland netted two touchdowns — opening the game’s scoring with a 10-yard run in the first quarter and adding a 39-yard interception return in the third. Kirkland had 56 yards rushing on 10 carries.
Robert Heyward also had a pickoff for a score in the third quarter, and Rich Rappa closed out the scoring with a 66-yard fumble return in the final period.

Freshman defensive tackle G.C. Kimbrell had a sack with 38 seconds remaining and a fourth-down pass fell incomplete with 19.6 seconds to seal the win for Bulloch (3-1).
Will Rushing ran for a 1-yard touchdown and threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Matt Sheppard to account for Bulloch’s scoring.
