Man shot Saturday said to be in critical condition

A Savannah man was in critical condition on Sunday after he was shot on West 42nd Street on Saturday.

The 22-year-old man was found in the 800 block of West 42nd Street about 3:30 p.m. by Central Precinct officers of the Savannah-Chatham metro police responding to a “shots fired” call in the area. The man was transported to Memorial University Medical Center, said police spokesman Julian Miller. Miller said the man lives in the area near the shooting.

Metro Violent Crimes Detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
