Grant applications are now being accepted by the Allocations Committee of the Savannah Friends of Music, whose mission is to support, sponsor and promote music programs and musical education in the Greater Savannah area.
The grants are meant to help fund programs which fulfill this mission, either a one-time event or an ongoing series. Past recipients include the Armstrong Atlantic Youth Orchestra, the Savannah Philharmonic, Savannah Children’s Choir, Savannah Music Festival, the American Traditions Competition, Savannah Arts Academy, the Garrison School for Visual and Performing Arts, and VoicExperience.
If your organization is interested in applying for a grant, go to www.savannahfriendsofmusic.com and find the official application under “grants.” Applications must be completed and submitted by April 15. The board will approve accepted grant applications in May, and the approved recipients will be announced at the Spring Membership Meeting on May 22.
