The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia’s foremost vision and hearing care nonprofit for over 60 years, sees Savannah residents in need of vision and hearing care each month at a mobile clinic, serving over 400 children, adults and seniors in Savannah each year.
On March 13 and 14, the Lighthouse Foundation set up a two-day clinic at St. Mary’s Community Center with the help of numerous volunteers and Ophthalmologist Dr. Henry Croci, MD, a regular Lighthouse Clinic volunteer doctor.
Croci was on site both days performing fully dilated eye exams to clients who had are in desperate need of routine vision care they have no access to.
Over the two days, 49 eye exams were given and almost 100 pairs of eyeglasses supplied to Savannah residents in need of low cost vision care.
