May Howard Elementary student Sophie Dean Toder received multiple awards last at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta at the State Level Georgia PTA Reflections Awards Ceremony.
Sophie was awarded First Place at State Level of Judging in Pre-K Dance Choreography and Visual Arts. She was also awarded Second Place in Literature. In addition, Sophie's Dance Choreography entry was selected by State PTA officials to represent all Georgia primary grades (Pre-K through Second Grade) at the National Level of Judging. Sophie created her works of art while reflecting on this year's theme, "Believe, Dream, Inspire."
The National PTA's Reflections program has been in existence since 1969. It encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts.
