A Savannah man charged in a triple shooting that killed two teen-agers last year was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police and U.S. Marshals.

Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and metro officers arrested David Randy Daniels Jr., 21, during a search of a house on Base Drive on Savannah’s south side after receiving a tip through Crimestoppers.

Metro homicide detectives had charged him with murder in the deaths of Syheem Spaulding, 15, and Dominique Bright, 18, and the shooting of Sha’nai Harris, 15, at East 39th and Cedar streets on July 30.

Also arrested Wednesday night was Daniels’ half-brother Madison Larry Freeland, 23, who was charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal. Firearms and drugs were seized during the search.

Metro homicide detectives continue to investigate the shootings and associated cases. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) using the keyword CSTOP2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.

A confidential Tip Line also is open directly to investigators at (912) 525-3124.
