Nearly 100 bicyclists and a lone unicyclist participated Saturday in the first annual JCB Dig The Ride. The 5k/10k/15k race took place following the annual Mud Run JCB hosts every year at its Pooler property.

At the start of the race, almost 100 people had registered to participate in the race, which included muddy trials, slippery hills and dirty, shallow pools of water.
Advanced riders completed three laps around the 5k course, while immediate bikers rode two laps, with novice and youth riders pedaling once around the challenging 5k course.
JCB officials were pleased with the Dig The Ride turnout and hope to make this an annual part of the Mud Run festivities.
