RICHMOND HILL — Richmond Hill defeated Effingham County 7-6 in eight innings on Saturday.
The Wildcats scored the tying run in the seventh to set up extra innings and scored on three singles, an error and wild pitch in the bottom of the eight for the win.
Alex Peraldo led the Wildcats in hitting, going 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs.
Brian Strahan shut down Effingham over the final five innings for the win.
Richmond Hill is 8-11, 7-2 in Region 3-AAAAA. Effingham County is 9-7, 6-3 in region.
