A 20-year-old Savannah man was hospitalized early Thursday morning after he was shot near Waters Avenue.
Savannah-Chatham police detectives are working to determine what led to the about 12:35 a.m. shooting at Live Oak and East 34th Streets, said Julian Miller, police spokesman.
The victim, who was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, told police he was walking with a pair of other men when two males appeared and opened fire on them, Miller said. The victim told police everyone else fled the area, leaving him wounded.
