Wayne Grimes, Energy Efficiency Education Coordinator for Georgia Power was awarded the Southern Style Excellence Award for Unquestionable Trust. Georgia Power began awarding the Southern Style Excellence Awards in 2002 to recognize non-supervisory employees who demonstrate the Southern Style attributes of unquestionable trust, total commitment and superior performance, on and off the job.
Grimes was presented with a plaque and a $1,500 check to donate to the charity of his choice (he chose the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire), by Senior Vice President of Charitable Giving, Mike Anderson at an Energy Exchange event in Atlanta.
