The Savannah-Chatham metro police and dozens Savannah and Chatham County neighborhoods will join forces for the 31st annual National Night Out this Tuesday night, August 5.
Members of the SCMPD Command Staff, Precinct Commanders, Crime Prevention Officers, Patrol Officers and McGruff the Crime Dog will be visiting nearly every participating neighborhood between 4 and 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Many of the neighborhoods are gathering at nearby community parks or community centers.
The metro police officers will be offering crime prevention tips to the thousands of people who will take part in the neighborhood events.
