It’s by no means unusual to find happy dogs and their owners hanging out in Daffin Park on any given day. On Sunday, though, man’s best friend was out in force at the eastside Savannah park.
The Savannah Kennel Club hosted the fifth annual Responsible Dog Ownership Day in order to let pet owners mingle, test out their four-legged friends’ abilities and, as the name suggests, promote responsible dog ownership.
Those who attended the event were free to allow their dogs to try out obedience exercises as well as agility and obstacle courses. Vaccine and microchip clinics were available as well.
Rescue groups were at the event, and dogs were available for adoption.
