The 11th annual Robbie Smith Golf Outing benefiting Hospice Savannah, Inc. was held Aug. 23 at the Club at Savannah Harbor. Robbie Smith was a vibrant and sports-loving young man who was cared for by Hospice Savannah after his diagnosis of brain cancer in 1992. For 11 years his family and friends have organized a fun-filled day of golf in his memory.
Robbie’s father, Robert Smith,presented Hospice Savannah Foundation, Inc.’s Vice President, Megan Kerley, with a check for just under $5,000. The Robbie Smith Endowment Fund supports the care and upkeep of Hospice House, Hospice Savannah’s inpatient facility located at 1352 Eisenhower Drive.
Plans are already underway for the 12th annual Robbie Smith Golf Outing to again be played at the Club at Savannah Harbor. Sponsors and players are asked to mark their calendars for Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. More information will be available at www.robbiegolf.com
