Crack cocaine, marijuana and firearms were seized following search warrants conducted by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT).

On Friday, Sept. 26 CNT agents, along with members of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), CCSO K9, Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) and SCMPD SWAT, executed three search warrants, according to spokesman Gene Harley.

The search warrants were executed at neighboring businesses, LJ’s Soul Food and LJ’s Carwash, located at 2601 West Bay Street. The third search warrant was executed at a residence located on Alfred Street, a few blocks from the businesses.

The search warrants resulted in the seizure of crack cocaine, marijuana and items commonly utilized in the distribution of controlled substances.

A total of three firearms were also seized in the operation.  Two of the firearms were reported stolen.  Four vehicles were also seized.

CNT agents working undercover received information drugs were being sold from the three locations.  As agents began their investigation, they confirmed drug activity was occurring at the locations, and linked the three locations.

At the time of the search warrants several people were arrested on felony drug and weapon charges. CNT is not releasing their names as the investigation is still ongoing.  More arrests are expected to be made.
