A midday shooting in West Savannah on Thursday hospitalized three people.
Savannah-Chatham police investigators remained on scene throughout much of the afternoon at the intersection of Eagle and Richard streets, where a gunman opened fire about 12:45 p.m., injuring a male and two females.
The victims were speaking and breathing before they were transported to Memorial University Medical Center, said police Maj. Larry Branson. However, updates on their injuries were not available Thursday evening.
Although police said they’d not identified suspects, Branson said he was confident investigators would track down the responsible parties.
He asked anyone with information about the case to contact CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous. A confidential tip line also is open directly to investigators at 912-525-3124.
