The Coastal Georgia Council and Chatham County Park Services announced a new partnership agreement that will benefit the community, as well as local Boy Scout troops.
Boy Scouts "Clean The Park" Days at various county parks will be scheduled beginning in 2014. Chatham County Park Services will provide Eagle Scout Project opportunities to Eagle Scout candidates throughout area parks and facilities. Boy Scout troops will be able to use certain parks for field days, picnics and other Scouting events. Chatham County Park Services and Coastal Georgia Boy Scouts have also agreed to notify their members of each other’s special programs and opportunities for youth.
Through this new partnership with Chatham County Parks, we are encouraging Boy Scout Packs and Troops, as well as interested individuals to register now to participate in our first partnership effort, a Clean-up Day at the Blue Sky Preserve near I-95 at Hwy. 204.
