A Savannah woman is excited about a massive win playing a Georgia Lottery instant game. Dorothy Plummer, 56, won a $1 million top prize playing the instant game Maximum Fortune.
“I thought it was an April Fools’ joke,” said Plummer, who purchased her ticket late last month. “Believe me, it was a fluke. I couldn’t believe it.”
Plummer claimed her prize June 26 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah.
Parkway Shell, 4 Park of Commerce Way in Savannah, sold the winning ticket.
“I screamed,” the mother of two said. “It’s unbelievable. I can take care of my bills.”
With her winnings, Plummer and her husband, Patrick, also intend to purchase property.
In addition to Plummer’s prize, Parkway Shell sold a $1 million prize in January from the Georgia Lottery’s $10 Million Cash Spectacular instant game.
