Bethesda Alumni donates chess sets

The Chess Team at Bethesda Academy, a leading boarding and day school for boys in grades 6 through 12, recently received new travel chess sets for each team member donated by the Bethesda Alumni Association to enhance their practice efforts as the team prepares for the next National High School Championship which will take place in Columbus, Ohio in April 2015.

Bethesda Academy’s Chess Team is currently ranked ninth place in the nation in the Under 800 Division and 13th place in the Under 1200 Division. Senior Tyler Gregory is ranked 28th place for individual play in the Under 1200 Division in the nation.
