Final totals are in, and the second Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothon held in August raised $60,000 for The Children's Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center. The radiothon was hosted by 98.7 The River and WTKS, both of which are Clear Channel Media stations broadcasting from Savannah.
Joining the three-day event were The River's morning hosts, syndicated radio personalities Murphy, Sam and Jodi, joined by Mark Robertson of Savannah, who hosts the afternoon River broadcast, and Bill Edwards, who mans the mike at WTKS in the morning for its talk show format. During the broadcast, families whose lives have been touched by The Children's Hospital at Memorial told their stories of hope and healing. Donations were made by individuals and companies calling in during the broadcast.
