Savannah-Chatham violent crimes detectives are investigating shots fired into a car that left Victory Drive closed to traffic for several hours Sunday morning.
A woman escaped injury when multiple shots were fired into the silver Ford Edge she was driving, leaving it disabled in the westbound lanes of Victory Drive just west of Waters Avenue, said police spokesman Julian Miller.
Police said Victory Drive was closed to traffic from Waters Avenue to Ott Street between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., as forensics officers collected evidence. The investigation is ongoing, he said.
